He Ran to His Baptism

The Sister missionaries had taught Adam the Gospel and he had committed to be baptized.  However, the baptismal font was not available, so his baptism had to be delayed.  After a couple of weeks, the Bishop advised the Sisters that the font could be used and they scheduled the baptism.  However, they couldn’t locate Adam.  Finally, on the day the baptism had been scheduled, Adam called.  He had been out of town.  The Sisters told him that his baptism had been scheduled for that evening, but they weren’t sure if he could get to the Church in time.  He said, “I will be there.”  He arrived on time, but out of breath.  He had run the 4 kilometers (2.4 miles) from his home to the Church in order to be on time for his baptism.
