“Spring Day”

Elder Kuhre and Elder Lawton were on their way to an appointment in their area and noticed that all the children walking home from school were carrying buckets of water.  As they left their appointment, one boy came up to them and acted like he was going to splash them with his bucket of water.  Thinking that the boy was kidding, Elder Kuhre held his ground.  That was a mistake. He soon felt a tidal wave of water soak him to the bone.

Later that day, the Elders learned that the first of September is “Spring Day” in South Africa and bucket splashing is one of the local traditions.
