Confident
Missionaries
Elder Spratling and Elder Ndlela opened Mafikeng for
missionary work. They had been looking
for a school to use for Church meetings.
Until they could find a school, they were holding Church services in the
living room of their rented house.
One day as the Elders were making copies, they met a man who
was member of the Church. He was
thrilled to learn that the Church had come to Mafikeng. He asked where the meetings were being
held. They told him that they were meeting
in their house, but that they were looking for a school and the search was
looking promising.
He said, “Wow, not only do we have missionaries, we have
confident missionaries.” Then in a
teasing voice he said, “But I’m prepared to meet in your house for quite awhile.”
